I complain about the mundane and get distracted by the ridiculous

I live in Minneapolis. I realize this makes me boring and irrelevant to most of tumblr. I stick around anyway.

So…I’m thinking about making a pretty big change in my life…

….by getting a library card.

I know.  Revolutionary.  But seriously, I haven’t used a public library since I was in, like, 8th grade.  I was racking up too many fines because I’m genetically unable to return anything on time.  This disability is also why I’ve pretty much stopped renting movies.

Anyway, since I have a new name, I’m thinking I can avoid the [likely] hundreds of dollars of fines I managed to acquire under my maiden name AND save money on books.  Because, when you finish a book in just a few days, it’s hard to justify regularly spending $20/book at Barnes & Noble.

So…does anyone use libraries anymore?
